A new book on packaging and labelling law has recently been published. Written by solicitor and law lecturer Charles James, the book is entitled "Guide to Packaging and Labelling Law 2011." Published by Content Publications, the book is aimed at managers in the packaging industry. James claims that this is: "The first book this century to deal with the specific legal problems of packagers and labellers." Adding it was aimed at "Any manager or would-be manager in the packaging labelling or food industries." James said that the last Packaging Law book to be published was in 1999. However, he said that the book was only about packaging, not labelling or food. Topics covered are: pallets, crates & glass, intellectual property, child labour & labelling. He added: "A problem for the industry is that the Food Labelling Regulations 1996 have been amended over 30 times, and there is no consolidated up-to-date version readily available.
