A new book has been published on the application of fuzzy logic, decision trees and neutral networks in glass. "Computational Intelligence in Glass Manufacturing" by Herbert Costa is available from www.amazon.com and shows the application of the three techniques for intelligent computation in glassmaking processes, which have been applied successfully in the areas of automation and control and fault detection, among others. Herbert Costa is an electronic engineer who has worked in the areas of automation, electronics and telecommunications. He is currently a professor at the University Centre of FEI in Brazil. The book is priced at £60.
