New Beer Bottle Plants Underway In Russia

The Russian beer industry's bottle requirements are expected to reach 12BN half-liter bottles in 2008, with a forecast deficit of 6BN bottles. To help close the gap, Russian Klinsteklotara and Sklostroj (Czech Republic) are about to launch a plant with a capacity of 250M bottles/pa. Rusdjam (Turkey) and Klinsteklotara are jointly building two plants in the Vladimir and Vologda regions with a capacity for 700M bottles/pa. Anadolu Cam Sanayii (Turkey) began construction of a glass bottle plant in Krasnodar region, also with a capacity of 700M bottles/pa.
