Neon Takes To The Road

A novel approach to tube design from Corning has led to the development of a neon rear lighting system for cars. Traditional neon tubes are too fragile to be useful for automotive lighting. However, with Corning's system the tube is embedded in a solid glass shape which fits the outside form of the car, giving it additional strength and rigidity.
