National Waste Strategy Welcomed

A Way With Waste, the draft Waste Strategy for England and Wales, has been welcomed by Incpen, as an importent step towards properly integrated waste management and away from single waste stream policies. The government supports a range of technologies including increasing recycling and incineration with energy recovery. Chief executive, David Henderson said: "Incpen supports the government's emphasis on resource efficiency. Packaging protects far more resources that it uses and saves much more waste than it generates but value can also be derived from used packaging within the context of an integrated waste system."
