N American Semiconductor Equipment Industry Report

N American manufactures of semiconductor equipment posted US$1.07BN in orders in April 2008 (3m average basis) and a book-to-bill ratio of 0.81, according to the April 2008 Book-to-Bill Report, published recently by SEMI. The 3m average of worldwide bookings in April 2008 was US$1.07BN. The bookings figure is around 8% less than the final March 2008 level of US$1.17BN and almost 32% less than orders posted in April 2007.
