BH-F (Engineering) Ltd, has produced the SLS 2525 Straight Line Shearing System, using straight-line blade dynamics. According to the company, the SLS patented design has taken five years of development, and is a fully-proven multi-gob system. The company says that the equipment gives new levels of speed and accuracy to glass production, minimizes wastage, maximizes efficiency and improves quality. SLS suits the greater part of plant layouts and can be fitted to most feeder spouts. It is highly adaptable because of its compact size and low profile, giving more versatility in shear angle than other equipment. Maintenance is minimum and straightforward when necessary, due to the design having few moving parts. Complete access is possible by rotating the mechanism out from below the spout.
