The Evolution range, from Iris Inspection Machines (France), features up to 16 cameras in one machine. The range of equipment enables the user to easily upgrade the machine to the latest algorithms developed by Iris. There are four machines available; the Evolution 1, 4, 12 & 16. Evolution 1 is a standalone finish inspector for detecting faults such as line over finish, blisters, stones, scaly finish, unfilled finish, over pressed and wire edge. Evolution 12, is a 12-camera machine for sidewall inspection at the cold end. The system allows a complete inspection of bottles & jars of any shape/colour with a fully automatic camera & user-friendly interface. Iris has recently developed a better fault recognition system for a container's base & sidewall, focused on more sophisticated image processing which can differentiate between engraved areas & faults.
