Indonesian glass and ceramic producer PT Mulia Industrindo said French firm Saint Gobain wanted to invest in the company. "So far there are no formal talks with Mulia, but from my channels, I have information that they intend to invest in the company," announced Mulia's managing director, Hendra Heryadi. Mr Heryadi said Saint-Gobain may be interested in investing in the company because most of its glass exports go to Europe. He also said that the French company had apparently been buying Mulia shares on the Jakarta market recently, making it one of the market's most active shares. (whole item)
