Mould Temperature Measurement Improved

For many years, Land Infrared has supplied its YQA thermometer for monitoring temperature gradients within the mould. It has now made this task easier by introducing a more portable instrument offering the same level of precision combined with a powerful data logging capability. Custom-designed for rapid and accurate spot checks of glass mould surface temperatures within the range 350 to 600 deg C, the new GMT instrument consists of a hand-held thermometer and a signal processor connected by a short cable and powered by a single PP3 battery. Taking a measurement is a simple matter of touching the probe tip to the surface of the mould and pressing the "capture" button. The reading is shown immediately on the display, and stored, when the instrument is in logging mode. For further information contact Land on fax: 01246 410585.
