Coca-Cola Middle East has renewed its environmental projects partnership in the UAE with the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) and the Arabia CSR Network, ensuring that a variety of regional initiatives continue, and new ones are introduced. The soft drinks group has also boosted its own sustainability operations, including water conservation in the production process and the use of more environmentally-friendly packaging for Arwa Water. "Together with EEG, we hope to expand the awareness of local and regional sustainability issues and be able, through our partnership to create a workable solution for the next generation," said Coca-Cola Middle East Executive Antoine Tayyar. "We want to encourage a conscious state of mind and active reduction of waste production, as well as an increase in recycling amongst consumers."
