Measuring Glass Viscosity In The Forehearth

Gedevelop's FHV Viscosimeter is a system designed for the continuous on-line measurement of molten glass in the forehearth. The FHV will measure and show all changes in the viscosity of the glass. It provides a warning of any changes in glass behaviour before they affect the forming process. This enables the operator to take action at an early stage to prevent forming problems and reduce the number of rejects and machine downtime. The system also shows changes in the viscosity value compared with glass temperature, to indicate if a variation is batch or temperature affected.
