Strong beer sales in Norway have increased by 40% so far in 2011, with the Norwegian Brewery & Beverage Association (NBBA) giving niche breweries credit for an increased interest in more diverse beer types. As of the end of August, sales reached 526,000/litres of beer with an alcohol content of over 4.5%, an increase of almost 41% compared with the equivalent period last year.
