A survey of 11,000 consumers across 11 major wine markets showed that Jacob's Creek was top for consumer awareness in its home market of Australia, plus Ireland and the UK. California giant E&J Gallo did best in the US, Canada and Germany. France's JP Chenet was number two in Germany but came top in Denmark and the Netherlands. Vinitrac, which assesses indicators from awareness, consumption, recommendation to brand affinity, said that Australian brands tend to lead the way in conversion of awareness to purchase.
