Malaysian Glass Industry Upturn

The Malaysian Glass Association (MGA) is reporting an upturn in business, with a 3Bn/MYR (US$927.5M) turnover. Since the financial crisis in 2008, much of the glass industry has struggled to remain profitable. Fortunately, there have been signs of recovery in the glass industry over the past two years and the Chairman of the MGA announced that: "The local glass industry is booming with 3Bn/MYR turnover for both glass manufacturing and processing streams of the industry" adding, that the glass industry has created over 10,000 jobs.
