Leeds-based ROCOL now produces five specialised graphite-based lubricants including dry lubricants, dry-delivery coatings and manufal or aerosol-applied mould pre-treatments as part of its Glassflo range. Glassflo 2017 is a dry flim lube which can be diluted with water and applied by brush or standard spray gun to coat the side plates of glass forming machines. It can reduce the thermal shock between hot glass and cold transfer plate or belt, lower friction and reduce crizzling and thermal marking.
