Link-Up Provides Oxy-Fuel Melting Solution

Air Liquide, Glass Service and IPCOS Technoogy have agreed to offer, together, an engineering and software package called OS-ALGLASS, which can control and optimise the oxy-fuel melting process. It is possible to simultaneously reach multiple technical and economic goals using the package. This will provide glassmakers with a cost-effective oxy-fuel melting solution which can increase furnace productivity and lifetime and enhance flexibility, while ensuring environmental compliance. The link-up of the three organisations means that customers will benefit from the different companies' expertise. The aim is to integrate Air Liquid's knowledge of gas supply systems and of oxy-fuel technology with Glass Service/IPOSC Tech's melting and advanced multi-variable control expertise. For further information please contact Air Liquide (Fr) tel:+33 140 625587.
