Lightweight Line Starts Up In Scotland

Rockware Glass has started production on a NNPB line at its Portland factory in Irvine, Scotland. The investment, totalling over £3m, reflects the increased demand from the Scotch whisky industry for lightweight bottles. Installation of the line was completed in 21 days. It is based on an Emhart double gob machine featuring computer-controlled container forming systems and the latest delivery, weight control and cooling techniques.
