Lightweight Bottles For Wolf Brewery

Wolf Brewery in Norfolk (WBC) has adopted the new lightweight bottle from glass-packaging manufacturer Beatson Clark for its line of ale. Beatson Clark had supplied WBC with standard 500ml ale bottles since May, before the company decided to move to the latest lightweight versions. Duncan Ward of Wolf Brewery said that it is "vital" that the quality of the ales is "reflected in the packaging." Ward added that the new lightweight bottles will help the company do its bit for the environment "while maintaining the traditional real-ale look of our bottles." Beatson Clark marketing manager Charlotte Taylor added that lightweighting is "really taking off" being both "good for the environment and popular with clients." WBC was established in East Anglia in 1995 and offers bottled ales such as Straw Dog, Wolf Whistle and Golden Jackal alongside cask ales. Beatson Clark has a turnover of £40m and a production capacity of approximately 455 million units or 76,800 tonnes.
