Asahi has obtained a 50-year licence for its joint venture in Vietnam. The licence will allow the company to proceed with the construction of a flat glass plant in the Southern province of Song Be. The joint venture, Asahi-Vietnam Glass Co Ltd, will be owned by Asahi (70%) and its local partner, Song Be Import-Export Production Co (30%).
