Lehr Contract Won

Stein Atkinson Stordy has won a contract to supply an annealing lehr for television glass to Irico Glass, based in the Xianyang, Shaanxi Province of China. Irico is currently expanding its capacity for producing TV tube funnels. The lehr will be direct gas-fired with automatic temperature control in fourteen heating/cooling zones and a 4.1m wide mattress type conveyor belt. It will also incorporate cooling technology developed by SAS, which eliminates thermal shock at high cooling rates and minimises product breakages.
