Burn Stewart Distillers has relaunched its Scottish Leader Supreme Scotch whisky in a rectangular 70cl glass bottle designed by Bonsey Design Partnership, Singapore. Forming phase two of the distillers major Asian investment thrust, the bottle is produced by Rockware Glass's Alloa site. The designers' objective was to give Scottish Leader both he quality, premium look of imported Scottish whisky and maximum shelf stand-out. They retained the popular rectangular shape, with modifications aimed at decorative enhancement. The designers worked with Rockware's Concept & Products Design teams to ensure all the aesthetic requirements were matched by geometric precision to facilitate manufacture. New features on the Burn Stewart bottle are "jewelled" facets, special label protection and a new metal closure.
