Lcd Makers Hit By Price Fixing Investigation

Shares in Asian liquid crystal display makers, including Sharp Corp. & LG Philips LCD were hit on 13 December 2006 by news that US and Japanese trade regulators were investigating the industry for possible price-fixing. The investigations into alleged production-limiting agreements to counter price declines are part of a cross-border investigation into some of the world's largest makers of the display panels, widely used in personal computers and flat-panel TVs.
