The Synrad range of carbon dioxide lasers is used in many different industrial processes & because it uses CO2 is able to mark glass directly, as opposed to indirect marking where a coating or label is applied & then laser marked. In direct marking, the CO2 beam is focused onto the glass & then laser energy is modulated to control fracturing of the glass substrate. Laser marking can create frosted images without the need for chemicals or for sand blasting. Uses include marking TV glass tubes; automotive glass/architectural glass. The equipment is available from Laser Lines, which also supplies Laservall Violino YAG laser marking systems. These comprise a range of different power level & wavelength lasers to mark any material, all air-cooled & capable of operating from an ordinary electric socket & plug. email: info@laserlines.co.uk
