Largest Soda Ash Plant

Turkey's Star-Kazan Soda Elektrik is to build the world's largest soda ash production complex in Ankara's Kazan district. The 2.7M/tpa facility will start production in 2017. Star-Kazan is a subsidiary of Turkish conglomerates, Ciner Group and China Tianchen Engineering Corp (TCC). The Kazan plant will supplement Turkish soda ash production site, EU Soda, to reach a combined production of 4.4M/tpa from 2017 onwards. The project will increase Turkey's soda ash exports to US$ 1.75BN/pa.
