Danish brewer Carlsberg is reintroducing its second brand, Tuborg, back into the UK following the success it claims to have had in Russia & Eastern Europe, while Heineken has a new marketing campaign & Anheuser Busch is introducing its flagship Spanish beer. Carlsberg UK believes the new look bottle with a ring pull crown closure has driven double-digit (17%) growth & will "Take the UK by storm." It is spending over £5M on marketing. Carlsberg says the ring pull is "Probably the biggest innovation in trade since the widget, providing consumers with ultimate convenience & freshness." It says it removes wasted time looking for bottle openers & is the ideal party beer. Heineken says its new multi-million pound marketing campaign in the UK will build on the 24% volume growth it achieved in 2006, & Anheuser Busch is introducing Estrella, the flagship beer of Spain's Grupo Damm.
