Krosno - Net Falls In 1999 First-Half And Stake Purchased

Polish glassmaker Krosno SA announced its consolidated results for the first half of 1999. Operating profits amounted to Zl 7,627 thousand compared with 7,314 for the same period a year earlier. Net profit was at Zl 5,484 thousand compared with 5,966 thousand. Net sales were Zl 117,211 thousand compared with 117,118 thousand. Meanwhile, Poland's Powszechny Bank Kredytowy SA said it had bought a stake of 9.95% in Krosno for an undisclosed sum. (whole item)
