Kew Gardens Completes Renovation Of Temperate House - The World'S Largest Victorian Glass House

Richmond and Twickenham Times reported November that Kew Gardens is preparing to draw to a close the renovation of Temperate House, the largest Victorian glass house in the world, which is due to be completed in spring 2018 after a five year restoration. The structure, built in 1863, has been and will continue to be home to some of the world's rarest and most threatened plants. Supported by the National Lottery, the entire framework of the building has been repaired, its thousands of panes of glass replaced, along with its ironwork and paved flooring.
