[Italy] Demolition And Repairs At Saint-Gobain Vetri

Italian-based Refractories Experience has recently carried out work on Saint-Gobain Vetri's furnace n51 at the glassworks in Carcare, northern Italy. The company carried out the following work: Demolition of the regenerators, the walls of the furnace, the crown and the feeders; reconstruction of the regenerators, the walls of the furnace, the crown and the feeders; hot sealing to close the joints of the vault, the superstructure and turrets. The initial work only involved a part of the furnace - a sidewall - but while carrying out the work it was evident that further repairs were needed in the crown of the furnace and on the spout.
