[Iran] Iran'S Largest Float Furnace Starts Up

Mr Ali Haqiqat, Director General of glass company Jama Iman, has announced the commissioning of Iran's largest continuous glass melting furnace, according to reports from the Islamic Republic News Agency. Mr Haqiqat said that it will be the second continuous glassmaking furnace in the Middle East, with an electricity consumption of 3MW and total production capacity of 3.7m sq/m of glass per year. With the newly commissioned furnace, Jama Iman will reportedly supply around 70% of the domestic glass market in Iran.
