OAO Poltsk-Steklo-Volokno, a fiberglass manufacturer based at Polotsk, Belarus, is seeking investors for its US$ 25M project to build a new manufacturing unit, according to officials at the investment department of the Belarusian State Petrochemical Concern.The 2y project is expected to produce a return on investment in 5y. The company wants investors to finance purchases of US$12.5M worth of equipment. The new unit would enable the plant to produce up to 15M/t fiberglass/pa. The project envisages the construction of a batch system & melting furnace, as well as purchases of winders & unwinding creels. The official said the unit would manufacture top-quality glass at high melting rates but with low exhaust gas emissions.
