Mexican glass container manufacturer Vitro received the top award for three of its containers in a recent international packaging industry competition. The "Be Magic," "Irresistible" and "Sexy Red" perfume bottles, made by Vitro's subsidiary, Vidriera Mexico, won the WorldStar awards in the annual competition sponsored by The World Packaging Organisation (WPO). Vitro also recently received four Clear Choice awards sponsored by The Glass Packaging Institute, as well as winning 43 awards in an annual competition organised by the Mexican Packaging & Container Association. "We are deeply honoured to once again position Vitro, as well as Mexico, among the best in the world in a highly competitive category that demands excellence at the highest levels," commented Alfonso Gomez Palacia, President of Vitro's glass container unit.
