Inspection System Granted Patent

BWI Inex Vision Systems has announced that one of its R & D engineers, Jim Bone, has been granted a patent for a newly developed inspection process for use in glass container manufacturing. Prolaser is a non-contact dimensional gauging system for the automatic inspection of glass containers. It provides measurement of minimum, maximum and variation of external container profiles. Using safe, low power laser imaging, the device measures container characteristics including height, lean, tilt, out-of-round, weight and overall dimension.
