Accurate colour to colour registration during the decoration of glass bottles, is attainable, says US-based Strutz International, by using the CLS-200 high production decorating machine. The chainless CLS-200, which decorates both body and shoulder simultaneously, features a new and innovative carrier conveyor system which replaces the chain with a precision cam. A new continuous motion loader/unloader system permits, claims Strutz, speeds higher than is available on any other machine, 200 bottles/minute on standard 12-oz beer or soda bottles are attainable, it is claimed. Speeds of 400/min are obtainable using two Strutz CLS-200 decorators feeding a Strutz dual cross conveyor system. Other features include the possibility to accommodate additional body/shoulder colours, larger container sizes, or extension to accommodate UV during requirements.
