Innovative Design For World'S Most Expensive Marmalade

An anniversary to celebrate 125 years of prize-winning marmalade manufacturing at F Duerr & Sons brought out the absolute best from Rockware's Innovations & NPD Department. They ere tasked with producing a special jar to hold the world's most expensive jam. "We wanted to create a totally unique jar that screamed luxury & celebrated the use of glass as a packaging medium, mixing modern design techniques with traditional glass production methods. The result is a crystal glass decanter, elegant, beautiful & simple in design. A glass bowl with a silver stopper sits in a sold glass base. The bowl & base were hand-made by skilled glassblowers at Dial Glassworks in Stourbridge, who have been making glass since 1788. Silversmiths crafted the silver lid & housing on top, & the finishing touch was added by hand engraving. The jar is valued at £1,100.
