Bulgarian Lubisol has created a range of crown insulating materials that incorporates a layer of Lubisol Si-Seal kit, designed for hermetic sealing and protection against rat-holes. The new unique sealing process results in, says the firm, a strong bonding with silica up to 1,620 deg C, has been described as "chemical welding", and has recently been applied on 80 glass furnaces in 18 countries.
