Guardian Industries Corp announced in July the reorganization of its automotive business units. This realignment will expand Guardian's commitment to innovation and reinforce its plan to expand operations to better serve the world's automotive industry. In announcing the move, Guardian's President and CEO William Davidson said: "In the past couple of decades, Guardian has greatly expanded its operations to reinforce its position as an OEM supplier. With this growth, the ability to serve automotive customer needs has become a major core competency. In order to meet the demands of our customers we are adding research and development capabilities while restructuring our glass and trim divisions. This allows customers access to a wide range of technologies and a strong engineering support base." Guardian's glass and trim operations will be combined.
