Industry'S Elite Excel In Crisis

This article looks at year's record crop of almost 200 entries to the UK Packaging Awards. Winner in the glass packaging category was The Glenmorangie Company's distinctive new-look bottle to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, netting the firm top honours in the tightly-fought glass packaging category. Among the bottle's unique features are its bespoke shape, with a high punt and masculine form, and the location of the tasting notes on the front label, as opposed to the back where this information is often placed. While the bottle has a modern look, the firm was also keen to emphasise the brand's heritage, and so an image of the Leith vaults, where the Society originated, has been used. The judges loved the look and feel of the bottle, which they described as: "Stylish, elegant and with a strong presence."
