Gujarat Guardian Ltd has completed a Rs15 Crore investment in a new mirror production facility at its existing plant in Ankleshwar, Gujarat. the expansion, for which the machinery was sourced from Klopper Maschinenfabrik in Germany, enables GGL to produce a new set of environmentally-friendly "Modiguard GMP Mirrors". "Our aim has been to bring to the Indian market state of the art products with latest technology; this new mirror with GMP technology is another step in that direction," said spokesman Mr Modi. The new mirrors are corrosion resistant with a longer life expectancy and are ideal for the hot and humid environments of India. To meet the growing demand for mirror glass, this plant can manufacture mirrors of thickness 3mm to 8mm in larger sizes up to 2.6 x 3.6 metres. The new mirror and value-added products are expected to boost company sales considerably.
