Poco Graphite is to launch an improved version of its CXT, which is used for lehr stacker pads and transfer paddles. The new product, called CXTX, has increased compressive and flexural strengths, higher hardness and reduced thermal conductivity. The company claims that the boost in physical properties will allow the graphite parts to resist wear longer, thus increasing machine uptime, and the material's lower thermal conductivity will further reduce the possibility of pads checking the glass containers as they are moved towards the lehr. New CXTX applications will be introduced autumn, 2006. See: www.poco.com
