Hunprenco has been involved in plunger manufacture for over 25 years and currently produces over 3000/month. With the ongoing development of quality lightweight containers there is an increasing demand for quality plungers which are free of porosity. To meet this demand the company has invested in a High Velocity Oxygen Fusing System which is robotically operated. This ensures a consistent, denser coating and eliminates the problem of porosity. In addition, all plungers then have the coating induction fused, giving a bonded strength between the coating and the base material up to 70,000psi, which eliminates problems of heat transfer between base and coating materials.
