To maintain its position as a leading manufacturer of plungers and coolers for the international hollow glass industry, British Glass member Hunprenco has invested in the purchase of land adjacent to the existing factory, as well as employing a group of young apprentices, who will eventually maintain he progression of the company's skilled workforce. The land has afforded the opportunity to restructure the factory's packing and despatch area, providing much easier access for all courier vehicles. Hunprenco recently put in place a consignment stock procedure with a UK customer to eliminate delays in the delivery of items that are required urgently. According to the company, its recently patented coating product is generating positive feedback from customers, including a leading glassmaker in North America.
