Hoya Predicts Record Profits

Hoya has forecast that for the fiscal year ending March 1997, current profit will be up around 11% to stand at Y18.5bn. If so, it would be the third consecutive year of record profitability. The company's current health situation is credited mostly to glass magnetic disks for personal computers and masks for semiconductor production. The current predictions exceed previous ones for the period by Y1.5bn.
