Hoya Group 1998-1999 Forecast And Results

Hoya has announced its group 1998-1999 forecasts and results. For the financial year to 31 March 1999, the group predicts sales of 202bn yen compared with the year-ago forecast of 193.47bn yen. Operating profit is set for 32.5bn yen, compared with 26.39bn yen in the year-ago forecast. Current sales are set for 32bn yen, next to a previous forecast of 26.76bn yen. Net is forecast at 16bn yen compared with 12.35bn yen. For the nine months to 31 December 1998, Hoya's group results were as follows: sales were 154.7bn yen (Y146.03bn). Operating profit was reported at 26.38bn yen (Y20.72). Net profit was 13.98bn yen (Y11.87bn).
