High Turnover For Schott Jenaer

The turnover of Schott Jenaer Glas for the year up to September 2002 was the highest since 1990. Wolfgang Meyer, the company manager, announced in November/02 that the company turnover for this period was EUR 66.5M, up 10.5% on 2001. Based in Jean in eastern Germany, Schott Jenaer Glas makes household and industrial glass products. The company's turnover and profit for 2001/2 surpassed forcasts, Meyer said. Exports contributed 65% of the total sales, helping the company cope with falling domestic sales. The company employed 652 at the end of September 2002. |(whole item)
