The CNC controlled Universal Multiple Head Cutting System "Unicut" by Hegla, is designed to cut shapes, squares, rectangles and strips with a high level of accuracy. Glass thicknesses from 1-19mm, with a maximum size of 3210mm x 2550mm, can be cut at speeds of up to 90m/min. The machine is available with an air cushion or with air cushion and transport belts, or alternatively with a single transport belt. Depending on the glass thickness and contour, the cutting speed and pressure can be adjusted separately. For high production of shape cutting up to five synchronised cutting heads can be ordered with the machine. To avoid any inaccuracies due to varation in the grinding of the cutting wheels, adjustment between the cutting heads must be possible. For this, Hegla has a patented solution. Adjustments of 0.05mm equal out any cutting wheel intolerance.
