O-I have created a new bottle for Bulleit Bourbon to support Diageo Great Britain's plan to develop the UK market for an American whiskey, previously imported in small quantities from the USA. O-I updated the original American container to help shelf standout in the UK. the "no nonsense" medicinal bottle shape has been retained - a short neck curved shoulders and cylindrical body. The period design has a distinctive quality reminiscent of America's "Old West", which enhances the brand's frontier heritage. The challenge for O-I was to make the front embossing "Bulleit Bourbon - Frontier Whiskey" clean and crisp. The company used its sophisticated venting technology to blow the glass to the exact shape required.
