Hegla: Shape Cutting Of Laminated Glass; Advanced Float Cutting

German machinery manufacturer Hegla produces machinery for flat glass processing. This article focuses on Hegla's latest innovations, such as a cutting solution for laminated glass and another for float glass. The ReMaster contributes towards the highly efficient use of materials in both. It stores remnant plats above the cutting system until such time as they can be used effectively for further cuts. The SortJet Sorting System has been integrated to ensure a continuous flow of material from the float glass cutting line to the insulated glass production unit. The sheets of glass are collected from the intermediate store in the Sort Jet and are transferred to the insulating glass line in the correct production sequence and layer orientation as soon as all the panes for an insulated glass unit are available. One of the features of the laminated glass cutting line has an automatic cullet disposal unit, which crushes trims and transports them to a container positioned nearby. The ProLam Plus is a newly developed shape cutting system for laminated glass while the Optimax Plus cutting system has additional features for laser marking.
