Corning has announced the commercial launch of Eagle XG, the industry's first LCD glass substrate that is free of all heavy metals. Eagle XG is a green substrate that provides added value for panel manufacturers, and the entire TFT-LCD value chain, while retaining all the process benefits and attributes of EEagle2000, another innovative composition from Corning has become the industry standard", said J P Clappin, president, Display Technologies.
