Since the beginning of 2000, the German company Wiegand-Glas has been using a special coating for its IS machine parts. This coating is called IS-Clean and was designed for highly stressed metal parts, such as neck ring holders of IS machines. IS-Clean offers these advantages: The cleaning time after a job change is reduced considerably; time-consuming sandblasting is not required; stubborn incrustations of remaining grease can be wiped off just with water. The neck ring holders and other parts can thus be prepared for the next production period during the job change and be used again immediately.
